I kept thinking how to make the blog more attractive, because a blog that shows completed projects tends to be monotonous and boring, I decided to post ideas that have not survived in the selection process of various competitions. Because these ideas are in various stages of development also never came to be presented to a jury, they are "frozen in the process" and waiting to be developed or can be adapted / grafted to other contests / projects.

The Story | The Concept
A flowing river creates two separate sides of land. |
People want to cross from one side to another.
To this purpose they have built an infrastructure for themselves.
This infrastructure is conspicuous and unfriendly both to the people and to the landscape.
Our aim therefore is to reconcile the infrastructure with the people and the landscape.
We are designing a “carpet” which gathers together the energies, softens the edges and defends | protects | the place.

Technical Set-up
We have started from a light paper-structure – such as the Chinese paper objects.
We examined the wing of the bat.
And have imagined huge bat-wings, a network of tubes entangled in a web-membrane – which can spread out across thousand of meters and fold back into tens of meters:
- the tube-vessels are inflatable and practically weightless (filled up with a light gas such as helium)
- the web-membrane is semi-transparent, vibrating and can be penetrated by the wind
- the wings slide on the longitudinal plane using a system of wheels and sliding rails.
- in cross-section they are in the shape of three united arches

The Generic Object
This is a light, movable and foldable structure
- It can adapt to any subsequent development in the set-up pf the organization (the roofing system is clearly separated from the infrastructure )
- It can be easily relocated to another location (multipurpose superstructure)
- Its image can replicate the surrounding landscape contour (integration by topographic mimetism)
- It introduces a ludic effect in a tense context (people, cars, water, mountain, control)
